Parks and I are dj'ing WE Design's Halloween Costume Ball saturday night, Oct 31, 2009 10pm-3am at 1200 Foster Road Atlanta, GA. This is directly behing Junction (Commune)/FIGO and all that on Howell Mill Road. Murray Mill is the location found at 1200 Foster Rd. It is a super spooky vacant mill.

Dress- costume or formal wear according to the flier. Ladies please wear flats or shoes you can walk in in the dark. When I say vacant I mean it. Its dark! Think any abandoned factory place in West End basically.

There is a small $5 donation that supports WE Designs (Art and Music) but we think it's worth it.

Schedule:
Parks and I are spinning 10-11
Bands play 11-12:30am
Parks and I will conclude the night 12:30-3am.

Directions: From 14th Street Atlanta (west of midtown, west of I-75)
Turn RIGHT onto HOWELL MILL RD NW.
Turn LEFT onto HUFF RD NW.
Turn LEFT onto FOSTER ST NW.
1200 FOSTER ST NW is on the RIGHT
Last drive way on the right. Park and walk left and wind under the arches and wander towards building labelled B3.

I will update this as I know more information. Here is the flier.

Met [info]translostlation and her man over the weekend. Such sweet people! Had much much fun eating, drinking, being lazy and crushing on LCD. Only a few regrets- wishing we had more time, energy and money.

Maybe if my plan is successful and completed by the end of the decade I can have a part of the Pacific or Atlantic ocean annexed over to Atlanta. Who needs the bulk of florida or south carolina anyways? And really- there is NO need for Texas- all that space can be pushed up and the ocean can move over. The ATL needs beach front property. Then Ms. Cindy and Stephen can move here and we can have fun all the time! So far there is only one problem with ATL's climate. I don't want no freakin' PALM TREES. Rat invested no good looking mcdonald trees. I need to call a scientist and figure this stumbling block out.

Dear [info]scorpiocub HAPPY BDAY!!! and I am sorry I missed seeing you!

:)

Ok- Lost in Translation is in the "musical or comedy" section? Whatever. That is the saddest movie!!!

Other than that Im pretty pleased. Both Scarlett and Bill are nominated, Uma for Kill Bill and Nicole and Jude, Tom Cruise, Ken Wantanabe and of course ROTK. See more here:

"We didn't steal it, we charged it"- Nicole Richie

Some "Beating depression" tips from Redbook:
-Don't think "If it will make me happier Ill buy it" Don't rack up credit card charges.
-Keep a "Good job" journal. Every time you do something that makes you feel good write it down.
-Jot a list down of 25 positive things about yourself and post someplace you always look. Start with "I am _____" (this really works) If you are "stuck" have a friend compile the list with your help. Sometimes you can't see how great you really are!
-Open the curtains. Let light in your house and work area.
-Talk to others. Don't keep to yourself when you are most depressed and try to be happy around the people you are around.
-Lavender. Have lots of lavender around your house/work
-Post pictures of your role models around the house and include yourself.
-Do something you normally wouldn't do.

Ill add more later on.

So I'll be the negative one today...

I feel unloved and in the dark.

Following the footsteps of megan and amy who I missed this weekend...I <3 the Kelis cd and I am happy it is NOT freezing outside.

My creative writing teacher had an exercise for my class once about writing down things you hear in passing then pick one and insert the dialog in a creative writing piece. Needless to say I'd be worried if anyone ever passed by one of my conversations. Esp the one [info]juandaveed and [info]slumberjack last night!
